remember those green dudes in the third sequel of the Lord of the Ring Trilogy? they hide in a cave within a forest and later help Aragon fought in Corsairs war?? these dudes really are handy, they could easily reverse the tide of wars by their “terror and fear” super power!!

in the spirit of Halloween, let me introduce to you, the King of the Dead!!
the King of the Dead action figure looks awesome!! and it is one of the best Lord of the Ring action Figure ever released by ToyBiz for me
the details of the bones are great!! he really come in a hollowed body, only couple of bones in there, no flesh, no siree…
he come with a helmet, cape and sword as accessories, which are also glows!! I bet it would be sweet to army build this green glowing dude

here’s his appearance under normal light, still looking awesome and young X D

mummified Rei wish you a Happy Halloween, have fun trick or treating tonight guys!!

this supposed to be a “one liner-wish card” entry for the festive, should I give a short review for that figure??
oh well, won’t hurt much I guess

Rei’s dressing up for the Halloween, she became a mummy who just raised from her tomb

this Sega’s mini display figure got 4 very interesting characters assortment, that really could convey the original characteristic of each heroines from the series!!
off course, my favorite is Rei, she designed to be a mummy, pretty smart, they’re using her Bandage version image… as for the other character, there are Misato who became a Succubus (it’s SO her, admit it guys), Asuka in witch dress, and Ibuki Maya who become a Grim Reaper sitting on Zuruel the angel

I highly recommended this sets, all of the characters are perfectly detailed and got a strong character concept!!
I also heard bout the second run series, where they changed the color of this original one and added up some Glow in the Dark (GID) parts!! I should start hunting…

Playmobil is a Germany based kids toy manufacturer
the idea was, making a 7.5 inch toy with a simple design and non harming parts for children to carry around…
at last, the toy itself got some basic template design and lot of accessories, making this figure an adult fav collectibles as well, almost the same as Lego’s minifigs
I’ve been collecting some of the Special series, especially the horror, pirates and knight theme…

since it’s almost Halloween, I’ll bring out my most favorite horror themed Playmobil figure, the Scary Ghost!!

okay, first of all, this figure got lot of accessories accompanying the original body with some skeletal glowing parts; which are that prison ankle-chain, chandelier, and the Glow in the Dark (GID) ghost blanket, supoirb!!

Spawn, the legendary hell’s undead superhero!!
do we really have to talk bout his history or bio? I mean, he already well known throughout the universe by becoming one of the most famous comic book character…
if Marvel got their Spiderman, while DC have their Superman and Batman, than Image Comic have Spawn!! it’s somethin like that…

long story short, Albert Simmons was an US Marine Corps member who later joined the CIA. In one of his mission, he was killed and sent to hell. why he was sent to hell?? cause he was a sinner, by becoming an assassins, woah ow… there, he make a contract with Malebolgia, the ruler of hell, who offer him some kind of second chance in return of Al Simmons service by becoming one of his Hellspawn!!

then, a superhero is reborn…from hell…

this Necroplasm version is not the original form of the Spawn, but rather a “limited” repaint from the first Spawn action figure ever released
it comes with couple of accessories, which are the black cape, black plank with a silver nail (that board) and two chains for the belt
nothin differ from the original, except it’s body color is semi transparent green and his eyes are red
the Japanese called this version as the “Clear Spawn”, and the only reason I’ve gave this title for this entry is because I bought this Spawn in one of the hobby shop Den-Den Town Osaka MOC for only 100 yen.. yeah, I can’t even believe it myself-they throw this version away almost for free -_-’
maybe because, IMO this “tend to be limited” figures actually easier to get than the unmasked or the blue version

but it does have a flaw…
the one that I got do have a loose knee joints, it can not stand by itself without being supported by the cape

he’s Black and he’s back!!
…… retarded opening line?? yeah I know ^^’
Kamen Rider Black is considered to be one of the most famous Kamen Rider series around the world in late 80′s… maybe it’s because the adult,complex and dramatic story or maybe it’s because somethin else…

anyway, here he is again, the Kamen Rider Black!!
we already talk bout his SIC Tamashii version, now we move on to his other figure form: trading figure and gashapon

the one on the back is Hyper Detail (HD) Limited version of Black.
he looks totally amazing!! almost 5 inch tall, nice black glossy finishing paint, superb details-especially on his eyes and those Black’s signature lines!! another good news, he comes with Shadowmoon on this series (I’ll review the Shadowmoon later) and share the same battle pose, better grab both of em!!
the only downer is the figure’s antenna…
it’s small, separated from the head and easily bent or fell off from the head… better take extra precaution when attaching those antennas

as for the one in the front, that is the gashapon version of Black
I’m not really sure what gashapon series he come from, cause I got that one loose for only 100 yen in Capsule Monster Osaka
but still, you just can’t get wrong by getting another Black figure that only cost around one buck, righty o!!
the gashapon version is still nicely detailed, even thought the paint works is kinda messy, but that’s not the main problem… the main problem is that antenna!! just look at them!! oversize antenna for a mini gashapon, ahahahahaw!! X D

Magired – Trading Figure Ranger Strike Solid series 1

Mahou Sentai Magiranger or more well known as Magic Squadron Magiranger in US market is a super sentai series for the year 2005

although I’m not a fans of super sentai series, but back then I really dig the concept on this series, which I considered to be really unique…really stand-out among other super sentai theme!!

so the theme for this series is wizardry, or magic to be more precise…
each of the team member, which usually differ in five colors, have their own unique element regarding to the magic basic elements!!
red-> alchemy/fire
yellow-> potions/thunder
blue-> fortune telling/water
pink-> transformation/wind
green-> herb/earth

move on to the trading figure, this Ranger Strike Solid series definitely is one of my favorite trading figure, tamashii has done it again, bravooo!!
there are total of five figure-consist of 3 human characters and 2 robots… as for the characters, there are a variant version for each character, which why I really love this series!! the metallic color!!
that beautiful metallic color, the one we usually could find on any SIC action figure

I don’t know why,but this trading figure series seems to be not very popular here in my country… some of the local store have a big sale on this series… could it be the same happen in Japan?? cause until now they haven’t release the second series/wave yet…

well, a great figure with a great price cause no one want them is a big catch for me! ;)

my deepest condolence for the victim of Japan’s major earthquake and tsunami…

I was terribly shock when hearing about the breaking news on CNN at my office, and soon called my big family in Japan… thanks God, lot of my family lived in kansai area, including Osaka and Kyoto… as for some of my family who lived in Tokyo area, all of them were already evacuated to safer ground by the time I called them (afternoon, West Indonesia time)

let us all sincerely pray for Japan

and not only that, let us pray for all of us, for the upcoming years to come…
I mean, really… it was another big disaster in these following years!!
it just felt like disaster after disaster followed by another disaster…
hope things going to be better for all of us, the mankind

note: by the time I wrote this, people in Eastern part of Japan having a major blackout, please stay strong guys

don’t know what happen to my scheduling system here, but this post should already be up from last week T_T

greatest cowboy known by man, an American hero in the wild west era created by an European artist, ladies and gentleman, I give youuu……..Lucky Luke!!
a character created by Belgium well-known cartoonist, Maurice de Bevere, or better known as Mr. Morris

he created this character, a wondering cowboy hero who always fight for justice (and the girls, ahem) who lived in the wild wild west era, that soon become a global European Comic phenomenon just like Asterix…

as a kid, I really enjoyed reading Lucky Luke comics published by the local publisher here in my country, but one time, when my auntie got a business trip to Europe, she brought me the original comic of Lucky Luke, then I just realized that this cowboy is not really originated from US, with all of those French words that I could not understand at all back then X D

the comic itself is soooo classic!! the good guy helping out the sheriff or major to get rid of the baddies from their town, fighting bank robbers, gun dueling at noon, smoking under the blue sky and simply ridding on his trustee companion, Jolly Jumper’s back while walking towards the sunset and singin: “I’m a poor lonesome cowboy, and a long way from home”
but that’s the beauty of it which I really enjoyed!!

oh, I wished they would produce more figure/toys of the characters from this series… right now I’m still trying to complete the notorious Dalton Bros figure online casino norge

Stockar

my most favorite Hotwheel’s original concept, the Stockar!!
well, as you may already noticed, I’m crazy bout glow and transparent stuff, combination of them both is surely an EPIC WIN!! yeah!!

I first knew that Hotwheel produce some clear colored vehicle just in 2007 from their X Raycers series,
yeah… I’m totally late!! cause they actually already produced several clear version vehicles years before…
but since then, I simply hooked up on this transparent rides, cause what more a man could ask for..? It got great decals, great metallic colored rims, and a detailed GID plastic for the interior in this so called Xraycer series, wicked!!

that’s when I decided to start collecting any clear colored vehicle they produced, including such car as Vandetta, Phastasm, Scion, Paradigm Shift and others that usually released within the so called transparent series…

too bad as the years coming, the 2007 series seems to be the only time when they produced transparent cars with GID plastic as the body… just look at that 2010 series, I’m not saying those other Stockars in transparent series are loosing their charms, no sir-eee… they still looks wicked awesome, as in this 2010 series…
in their latest series, Stockar came with a total invisibility cloak!! just like miss Invisible from Fantastic Four or that jet rode by wonder Woman X D
transparent body, transparent rims, transparent wheels, transparent interior, transparent window (well duuuh), and a minimalist transparent grey decals, woahohohow… they still got it…

right now I’m on my way hunting for some transparent series of Stockar there is, and already got the yellow (2005) + Track Aces (2007) version, just still looking for the Phantom X Raycers one… never really understand why I just passed that series up back then T_T

I’ll update the family photo of this car later, for the meanwhile, enjoy the glowing Stockar performance from the 2007 X Raycers series

CBR (ceboru)

ah… my first figure related post for this year…
think I’ll started this year with something filled with new hope then, an upcoming local urban toy template!!

it’s called CBR by its creator; – Midz Toy
that’s an abbreviation for “ceboru”, a word that’s crossing between Indonesian word “cebol” (en:midget) with Japanese hiragana style

the name’s a little bit confusing perhaps ^^’
but this is a great future template IMO!!

there are several other well-known Indonesian urban toy templates, such as Suzuka, Chobits, Bulby and others that sized more than 5 inch tall, almost like those mini Munny from Kidrobot

CBR stand only an inch tall, or at least that’s the size of the prototype figure that Midz and his friend kindly gave to me on the previous Toy Fair on December last year
it got only one articulation, on the neck, so one could separate it’s head with the body for detailing purpose, not bad…

I love small scaled figures, and prefer smaller template such 2.5 inch blank Qees or 100% blank bearbrick to bigger one… thus this CBR could be the next big thing for me!!

Midz Toy already produced several prototypes, each colored in different one tone version… the most interesting color for me is those clear version!! I know, they are just a clear resin, but still!!
just look at the one that I got, it’s amber colored!! I already fantasizing how to make an interesting custom out of this one…
